From waste management to creating a circular supply chain, transforming your resources into sustainable opportunities is just a small step away!
While supporting a client in the aerospace industry, we identified an opportunity to transform their wood and cardboard waste into logistics consumables that they use in large quantities on a daily basis. This initiative aims to create a circular loop on a local scale, offering exceptionally efficient ecological and economic returns.

Context:
As part of its waste reduction efforts, our client, specializing in aeronautical logistics, engaged the services of Greentrack Genius. After an in-depth analysis of its main waste and cost items, we identified that the most significant waste on its site was wood and cardboard, both in terms of weight and cost. Furthermore, we noted that the purchase of molded pallets represented a significant expense for the company.
Our Study/Support:
Following our analysis, we identified the opportunity to launch an innovative project within the company: the creation of an internal recycling and manufacturing process for molded pallets. It's important to note that a molded pallet is composed of 80% wood waste, making it an ideal solution for reusing the company's waste. Using the same production line, we will also be able to transform cardboard waste into heating pellets or bedding.
Implementing this solution offers several advantages. Economically, it reduces waste treatment costs while reusing it into useful products, such as molded pallets and heating or bedding pellets, with a return on investment (ROI) of less than three years. Environmentally, this solution would allow the client to reduce its carbon footprint related to waste in less than three months, with an estimated reduction of approximately 527 tons of CO2eq over 5 years.
As part of our mission, we offer turnkey support. We define the project specifications, identify and mobilize available funding and assistance through our partners, and select the experts who will carry out the studies and install the production line. In addition, we plan to integrate a social component into this project by allowing people with disabilities to operate the production line.
At Greentrack Genius, we view this project as a unique opportunity to create positive synergy between different sectors. By combining ecological, social, and economic impacts, we offer an integrated solution that maximizes environmental benefits, supports social initiatives, and improves economic profitability.
